Late 2006 we had a lot of icy rain and storms here. The real locals have learned not to use umbrellas at all, not so all of us others. Here are a few of my finds from then.

Why broken umbrellas? I enjoy the slightly insectoid shape. Also it's nice to imagine the situation where the owner, possibly soaking wet, rams the broken umbrella into a waste basket. There's something very fundamentally human about that.
